Responsibilities:
There is always a lot going on at CanLift!
We are looking for an individual who is skilled and experienced with repairing and maintaining various types of Aerial Lift Equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, superior time management skills. Mechanical background knowledge of various engines and extensive knowledge of equipment, both Electrical and Hydraulic.
Responsibilities include maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting of rental, sales and customer equipment. Detailed documentation of all service on work orders, legibly and accurately, with work performed, parts used and inspections completed. Diagnosing issues, looking up parts in manuals and quoting customer repairs. Preparing / Inspecting equipment for rental contracts and for units sold to customers.
Qualifications:
- Ability to diagnose and research mechanical issues using computerized and/or other testing equipment
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of hand and power tools
- Completion of post-secondary and in an apprenticeship program OR over 5 years work experience in the mechanical trade
- Knowledge of how to operate Aerial Lift Equipment and/or Construction Equipment
- Ability to communicate both written and verbal in English
- Self-motivated and strong analytical skills and a drive to get things done!

This role is responsible for managing rental equipment requests, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding equipment rentals, availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Process rental requests, create contracts, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups, working closely with the operations and logistics team.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track equipment status to ensure availability and proper utilization.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely communication.
- Work collaboratively with sales and service teams to meet customer needs and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and rental agreements.
- Assist in preparing reports and tracking rental performance metrics.
- Support administrative tasks related to rentals, including invoicing and payment follow-ups.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in equipment rental, logistics, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology savvy, with comfort using business systems, rental management platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in the rental industry is an asset, particularly with aerial lift equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
