CanLift Breaks Ground on New Burlington Facility
CanLift partners (Ryan Fitzgibbon, Johnny Dragicevic, Marko Dragicevic and Shawn Wilson) break ground on construction at 4440 South Service Road in Burlington, Ontario.
On April 4, 2019, CanLift Equipment – a leader in scissor lift & boom lift sales, rentals, & service – broke ground for their new facility at 4440 South Service Road in Burlington, Ontario. The new property is only five minutes away from their current location (on the north side of Harvester Road). The owners and staff highly anticipate their big move which is scheduled for October of this year.
Highlights of the new facility include:
- 15,750+ square foot building
- 3.6 acre equipment yard
- 9 huge service bays
“The new space will allow us to run more efficiently because the yard is 1.5 acres larger than the existing space and the building is set-up as a proper service center with nine overhead doors leading into the service bays. The larger yard will also help with truck traffic, as we run six of our own trucks daily and have another 4-6 outside carriers in the yard.” Marko Dragicevic, Managing Partner.
The expansion project has been the vision of the owners of CanLift for years. In fact, the owners and operators of CanLift are also the principals of 4C Real Estate Ventures Inc., the company that purchased the 3.6 acres of land in Burlington in spring 2017.
Larger New Inventory of Aerial, Boom & Scissor Lifts
One of the reasons CanLift is building a new facility is so they can offer it’s customers an even greater selection of boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telescopic handlers. In addition to an ever-expanding inventory, they will still offer flexible financing for purchasing, leasing, and rent-to-own.
Along with the 3.6 acres of yard, to keep things rolling along CanLift designed a separate entrance and exit to make it easier for their customers to check out and exit faster with their equipment.
More Used Equipment Available: Telehandlers, Aerial & Scissor Booms
CanLift is known for having a massive inventory of used equipment to choose from and is one of the big reasons their growth has been so steady. Now, with an even bigger space, CanLift will have more used equipment in stock for their customers to choose from.
With the increased inventory of used vertical lifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers; customers what find what need faster and at an affordable price.
Plus, if a customer requires a specific model of lift such as
- Genie
- JLG
- Skyjack
- Haulotte
- SKYTRAK
- Snorkel
- TEREX
- UpRight
- MEC
the staff at CanLift has strong connections all over Canada and the US to source any special requests quickly.
Larger Rental Yard – Bigger Inventory for Locals
CanLift services a large geographic area including Burlington, Hamilton, London, Mississauga, Oakville, Toronto, and the surrounding areas. The new bigger facility will provide a more extensive selection of lift equipment rental units. Because boom equipment rental prices can vary greatly depending up type of machine and length of rental, having a larger inventory at different price-points services customers better.
Having exactly what local contractors and businesses need quickly is vital. It’s one of the many reasons CanLift’s has a 5-star reputation.
“Excellent service, amazing customer service & reliable equipment! Always on time for the delivery and pick-up and always ready to help you!”
“We required a zoom boom in order to continue forward on our home reno. I contacted CanLift and they were very helpful. They had the machine delivered next day and at a cost that I thought was reasonable. Their customer service was top notch.”
Efficiently Designed Space For Faster Repairs & Maintenance
With a larger and more efficient reconditioning and restoration area, CanLift is predicting an even faster turn-around on repairs and maintenance. They’ve designed their new facility around the vital job of saving their client’s money by reconditioning their aging heavy equipment like forklifts, excavators, backhoes, telehandlers, and boom lifts.
And while the machines are being repaired, rentals are readily available, so projects and jobs don’t come to a halt. The new state-of-the-art facility was designed from the bottom up with efficiency in mind including:
- Open span for large ultra boom teardowns
- Streamlined layout with seven mechanic bays
- Separate sandblasting & painting booths
- Huge indoor wash-bay for larger machines
- Modern technology-driven shop space
- Computer workstations in each mechanic bay
- Large monitor screens to managing work orders
- Computerized key performance indicators (KPIs)
Heavy Equipment Parts
The new facility will have a huge caged parts room to carry thousands of big equipment parts in stock. The computerized inventory system will make for fast service. CanLift not only rents and repairs equipment, but they also provide parts for those customers that do their own repairs.
Along with parts in stock, CanLift offers fast shipping on special orders for aerial lift parts from top manufacturers like SkyJack, JLG, and Genie.
CanLift Appreciates Their Employees
If you’ve ever visited their current location or placed an order online, you know how friendly and competent their employees are. One of the big reasons for this is that the management treats their employees like family. That’s why the new facility wasn’t only created for customers. It was built for the dedicated staff who work there day in and day out. The new building will include:
- More office space
- Highly insulated for comfort
- Energy efficient lighting
- Large modern board room
- Two big lunch rooms
- An exercise room & changing room
